Default Another new Rec. Center with another new amenity

Read this morning that another new Rec. Center is underway in Southern Oaks named Homestead that will feature Astronomy Pads for those interested in the stars. This is something I would not have thought to provide residents but I'm sure it will be well accepted and used. The center will also have a boardwalk type nature trail similar to the one in Fenney.

Now that is a great idea, something a little different for those who aren't always the same shuffleboard, pool, and pickleball! There are so many people in the megalopolis, that having something unique and original at each rec center keeps people looking for something new a different option. . .

Since I looked it up: The astronomy pads are a restricted space known as the "red light district," where only red spectrum lights are permitted after dark so as not to interfere with telescopes or photography.
Will they adjust the closing time of 10 PM for people to use the pad?

Astronomy pads. A great new amenity. Hope it was chosen for minimal light pollution.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. I won't be using them so makes no difference to me but to those of you that will be using them I assume you would like to see them available well after dark in the summer as well as winter. Send them a note with your concerns and let us know how they reply.

There are no horseshoe pits south of 44 that I know of, they switched over to bean bag toss at the neighborhood rec. areas.
