Default Morse Blvd and Rio Grande Intersection

Has the work/improvements to the Morse/Rio Grande intersection been completed? I was thinking it was going to be done in the 2nd half of '09.

It it is done, is it any better than it was before??

It's horrible. We waited 30 yesterday to get through. They were running one lane at a time.

There are many alternate routes and I suggest using them for the next few weeks. Of course this doesn't help those that have to take Morse to get to/from home. I wouldn't be surprised to see the work completed in several weeks and what a relief it will be.

Default deano hoosier....I assume you can gather from the text it is

not finished.
Viewing what is to come, I suspect there will be significant improvement. The turning lanes may not be long enough to accomodate the busy season, but still an improvement.

At the light at Morse and 466 heading north, I foresee a new problem. With the new turning lane there will be two lanes going straight ahead. That means it will be a sprint for the residents in the left lane to get over on the right side....potential for problems with some of our always in a hurry villagers. I suspect a new there will be more and more residents using the vendor lane on the new set up.

In any case it will be better than it was. And not as good as it could have been if TV would have just widened the road all the way.

As was said above, there are many alternatives going in that direction.

Default Thanks for the updates

We'll show up in January and add our numbers to the intersection. Now if I could just talk my Wife into getting up and running her errands before 9am then that would solve most of those problems

kinda depends on where you want to go to/from......a detailed villages map is the best help, cost about 5.00 at banner mercantile or the golf pro shops. It also will show the cart paths that are independent from the streets. Hope this helps.

By golf cart/car: North on Buena Vista to east on El Camino Real.
By car: East on 466 to left on Chula Vista Ave. to left on Rio Grande to right on Del Mar.
Neither is a good alternative but detours seldom are.

Your other option if you must take Morse all the way is to leave the house a good half an hour early. Im sure we will all be elated when this Morse road construction is completed!

I went Morse Blvd today around 1pm between 466 and Paige Place. Pulled right up to the light at Rio Grande and encountered no delays going north.

On the return trip South about an hour later, there was a flagger holding traffic to one direction (just South of Hacienda Hills CC) as they paved the roadway. Had to wait about 3 minutes and still zipped thru the light at Rio Grande.

There's still some repaving to do and final work at the RioGrande intersection, but, all in all it looks like the project is almost done. The widened golf cart paths are wonderful and the new asphalt is very smooth.
