The Villages is so large now you can have a CAT1 on 441 and a CAT7 on the southern end. I have had over an inch of rain on my rain gauge at my house and it never even drizzled 4 miles away at LSL. Even the "HyperLocal/MicroLocal etc etc" weather reports are barely ever correct.

That being said, I find Tony Mainolfi on WESH the most knowledgeable for general predictions. As for Uncle Milton, (he'll be teased forever) as the storms usually do they always seem move further away from The Villages as they approach the state so hopefully Uncle Milton will not be nearly as bad FOR HERE as originally predicted.

Listen/watch WESH in Orlando. Only problem is that the major networks start 24/7 coverage too early. None of the Orlando networks had the 6:30 news on Monday night. Nothing new happened during that time and the NHC does not make announcements during that time. Bet the National New had more broad news about the hurricane during those 30 minutes.

Maybe a little less drama with local channels vs. the Weather Channel.
