Default Motel Deals for Residents' Visitors?

Does anyone know if any of the local motels have any type of discount arrangement for residents? We have family and friends who can't stay at the house because of allegies to cats.

Check the Waterfront Inn at Lake Sumter too.... they have often offered discounts for residents.

I have gone to the Waterfront Inn and told them what I needed, and have always got the room for under $100 a night. A pretty good bargain when you consider the quality of the room and the convenience of walking to LSL. You call and get the reservations and the rate is higher. Go there and talk to them directly and they give you a lower rate.

And I'm willing to bet that the Hampton Inn on 466 will offer a good deal Every time I go by there there are practically no cars, so I'm suspecting they're hurting.

Biggest objection is, of course, they are NOT golf cart accessible!

Default The Waterfront Inn

and we highly recommend the Waterfront Inn. We are not Villagers (yet) and we stayed there a couple weekends ago. We are Florida residents so they gave us the Florida Resident Rate, which was decent, especially since we opted for the balcony room overlooking the lake, as it was our first trip to the Villages, and it was around $112, which for that kind of accomodation is very good, I thought. Our salesman asked what we were paying and called over there and our rate was actually better than he could get for us.

Thanks for the information. I had thought there might be some arrangements that could be made.

Default I'd recommend the Waterfront too!

We stayed there for six days last month and was very pleased. We booked with the Florida resident rate which we thought was very reasonable. Might be even cheaper with a Village ID! Would be worth asking about!
