Default Mounting a flat screen TV

Can anyone tell me the best way to mount a flat screen TV so that the wire & cables don't show on the wall below the TV?

Thank you!

Default Outstanding Installation.

I had called Tom last week to get an appointment to install a larger flat screen TV on the wall of my master bedroom. Tom said he likes to see what the job would entail so he came over made a few suggestions and set the appointment and quoted me a price for yesterday. Tom arrived on time and explained step by step what he was going to do, reroute both the electrical and cable to a new junction box that would be hidden by the TV and mount the hanging bracket. He estimated an 1 - 11/2 hours. He used tape to show me the location of where TV would be. I asked it to be a littler higher and he made the change cheerfully.

Mounted the bracket with wall anchors that could hold hundreds of pounds and that was reassuring! Tom used a template to outline where the new junction box would go. He carefully cut out the drywall and turned off the power to the outlets before removing them. He then used a "fish tape" to route the new cables to the new outlets. He was unable to do this as when the home was built the added in a cross member 2"x4" that impeded getting the wires up the wall.

Tom thought about alternatives and said he never saw this in the many homes he has worked in. He procured a drill bit extension and drilled through the obstacle. He was able to route the electrical and cable wires to the new box. This took an additional 45 minutes and Tom apologized for the delay several times.

The TV is hung and looks beautiful and all of the cables are out of sight. Tom also reprogrammed the TV cleaned up the area, yes he brought his own vacuum and made sure I was totally satisfied and moved back the furniture. I asked what the extra cost would be for the additional unplanned work and I was told, nothing. He said he quoted a price and it wasn't my fault the builder made it harder for him!

I totally recommend Tom for his experience, knowledge and his ability to do an outstanding job!

I did this at my house at home used the electric boxes with the ears that go easy into drywall and then just fished the lines up the wall. In addition to a special box that the plug is recessed for the electric up at the top, I used the backless box with the ears both up and down so I could fish in the HDMI up to the set from the cable box and DvD. that sit in a glass front box hanging lower down.
