We'll be building in 6 months or so.

I guess we are no longer virtual residents!!

Bouht lot #48 - Large bend/corner lot looking across to the #8 tee on Bonita pass gc. Of course by the time we move in there will be one layer of homes on the course lots but the view from our side pool should still be decent. I think the actual house # is 2213 Abbey.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Let the fun begin!

Russ, we are over half way through with the building of an Iris on the corner of St. Charles Place and Bailey Trail. You will pass the back of our house many times going back and forth to your new home. We will wave when you go screaming by in your golf cart. Congratulations!

WOW ! Congratulations!

Dreams really do come true! I know you have worked very hard to make it happen.

We're renting a villa in Mallory Square Jan-Feb-Mar 2011 to "test drive" living in TV.

Maybe we'll see you then?

If it's built by then it will be rented out. Not moving down perm until early 2012 (probably after the winter rental period in 2012).

Default Congrats!

Russ,

Congrats on your TV lot purchase! We're envious. Enjoy your posts.

What style of house will you build?

Probably a Begonia since it has the smallest footprint for a two and 1/2 garage which is required for the lot.

Russ, just so I understand, are you saying TV is requiring that a home with a 2.5 garage be built on this particular lot?

Or are you saying you want a 2.5 garage and to get that you need to build the Begonia because of its size?

Hi Russ...Congrats again! I wonder if that's the same large/bend corner lot we looked at the week before you got there. Is it in Section 33? Our agent showed us a Lot #48 which is one over from an oversized Bonita Pass golf course lot that has room on the left for a pool. Does it back up to a villa wall for privacy? It's a very nice lot but was just a little premature for us to bite on it. According to our lot plan map it appears to be on Fringe Tree Trail though. Is it possible the cul-de-sac has a different name that's not printed on the map?

BTW...when was the first time you visited The Villages and how many visits did you make before you bought? If all goes as planned, we're putting our home on the market this weekend. A quick sale would be sweet so on our next visit to TV in June we can bite!

Enjoy the rest of your stay!

Trudy

Yes TV is requiring a 2 1/2 car garage for this lot. We were thinking either Iris or Begonia anyway so it's not problem. Can't put an Iris due to the driveway/lanai layout (same side on Iris, opposite side on Begonia) and we need the right hand side lanai for our pool addition.

The section is Unit #164 off Triggerfish. I think I know the lot you are referring to and I think that is sold.

This is our fourth visit. 2 days then 1 week then 2 weeks and 2 weeks this time. Only one was a LSV. We've done private rentals the past two.
