You can get the signs through Ace Hardware over on 466 in The Villages. The person brings it to the house when it is done and hangs it for you.

They make reflective tape. Might wanna try that over your numbers on the pole signs. Cut to fit with razor. Just a thought. That way they'd be visible from the street.

F16 - that might be the most practical tip I've heard in years. Thanks.

Thanks so much to everyone for your suggestions. Think I will contact my rep, I would think they could help with at least that.

Russ I know the tape came in both black and white but when illuminated it showed white. And you would think this guy living in KY would have already done this right? Don't answer that.
"Yes dear I've put that also on YOUR list of things for me to do"!!!!!!!! :edit: :edit:

When I bought over three years ago, my sales rep told me that she'd provide the appropriate sign, and what did I want on it?

So, I told her (house number quite large- my first name smaller - The Cat's name in same typeface as mine), and there it was when I arrived a month later.

After The Cat died last May, I took some ceramic tiles - with the letters of my last name that my brother had given me when I first came here and that I'd never used - to one of LSL's market vendor nights and found that they'd custom build me a new sign, using my tiles. It wasn't all that inexpensive, but I like the result and I hung the original sign in the garage in commemoration of The Cat!

Our MLS realtor gave us a coupon for one from Unique Printing also.
Unique Printing is in the Southern Trace shopping center,
a few doors down from Chrispers.
It was finished in 3 days.

Being a connoisseur of Graffiti designs, I took a can of black spray paint and wrote our house number on the driveway. Its way too kewl and no one else ever copied me ;D

You are so full of it Handie... 1rnfl lovehorse

Seriously, our realtor never offered to provide us with a sign. We designed our own using a LSL vendor and after 2 years the colors have faded. It's time to order a new one.

Sounds really attractive Handie... I hope its at least in a nice font!!

Every house in LA has the house number on the curb, its a very convenient thing and really helps when your in a new neighborhood and are looking for a particular house. So, see, your not the only one...

Unique is a good store. They do so many things very well, and the folks there are very open and friendly. It's an interesting store in which to browse for a few minutes and come up with crazy ideas for stuff you really don't need.
