I agree with your premise and I do prefer to enter one way and exit another.

However by design you won;t find many people who can't back out of their parking space, unless of course they baked into the parking space which in my view is even more troublesome. And by design you don't see any markings in a mail station indicating a preferred flow of traffic.

Other than at mail stations I make it a practice not to back out of a parking lot.

The cause of this accident was "unsafe backing"and irrespective of flow of traffic that would not have changed your outcome.

Finally you will find that term "common sense" subject to interpretations. For instance I believe many people probably thought the Wright Brothers had no common sense at all with trying to fly.

Truly sorry to hear of your mishap.

Personal Best Regards:

The mail station I am referring to is located in the Village of Polo Ridge. There are two ways in and two ways out regardless of that fact is the fact that it is one way around the mail station. People should not after backing out of their parking spots and continue to backing up until they reach the exit area. Back out of ones spot and then drive around the mail station and exit either onto Oak Forest or continue and exit onto Southern Trace. It's really quite simple.

No one was hurt except my golf cart was slightly damaged & will need repair. The woman who hit me felt bad, did apologize and admitted that she knew it was wrong to back up instead of driving around. It truly was a small mishap at least this time it was but there have been plenty of close calls due to some people refusing to using their heads.
Thank You for your concern
