........Note: Since I am often in my front yard I can hear WHICH GOLF CARTS are speeding by how loudly their engines are straining. Also , I notice older Golf Carts leave the SMELL of unburned gasoline behind them - especially the ones going over 20 MPH. Also I " pity the fool" that buys a USED golf cart that had its speed jacked up because the engine will likely be ruined.
Perhaps, since this means so much and gets your undies all in a bunch, consider this. Apply and get accepted at the police academy, then join the force in your local jurisdiction, hang out on the street upon which you live and give out all the tickets you like. Be sure to nail all those golf carts going 20.1 mph

Mine is not capable of exceeding 20mph. That makes it officially, legally, a designated "golf cart." There are LSVs, which are "Low Speed Vehicles." Those are golf carts that have specific criteria met, including being set to go UP TO 25mph but no faster. They have to be registered and insured and are no longer considered "golf carts" by legal definition (even though they're basically the same vehicle with some tweaks).

Any golf-cart-base-vehicle that can go in excess of 25mph, is not lawful in the State of Florida. It's not allowed to exist here. You can drive it on your own private property, or I guess tow or otherwise transport it to a private field and have fun with it, but it isn't allowed on any public road in the state.

Odell is a circle and crosses Morse in two places. I don't know the name of the golf course, I don't play golf. But if you're coming south on the Morse MMP from Sumter, and go down the hill where there's a golf cart tunnel to your right at the bottom of the hill, and then the road goes back up again and curves left, with Mallory Hill Country Club on the left, it's THAT spot there that I'm talking about. I see people coming out of that tunnel expecting to take a left, and sometimes they don't stop right away. It scares the bejeezus out of me when I'm coming from Sumter to Odell at that spot, I always worry they'll just keep going and I'll ram right into them. *I* should have a stop sign there. And so should people coming FROM the Mallory parking lot area on Odell, who are on the golf cart path heading north or heading through that same tunnel to go to the other side of it.

Because it's a 3-way stop in a sort of "Y" shape - I think it should work somewhat more like a roundabout. If you're taking a RIGHT at the intersection, no matter where you're coming from - you can go. If you're taking a LEFT at the intersection, no matter where you're coming from, you must stop and yield to whoever is taking a right. Since - there is technically no "straight" - the road curves at that spot, with the tunnel exit in the middle of the curve.

Who does have the stop sign there, the people coming from Mallory or the people coming out of the tunnel? Most tunnels have the stop sign but at least one, heading north from Pinellas and turning right under Morse, has a stop sign on the path coming from Moyer.

Yep, that's the place. And sorry, but I don't see any problem there, other than the problem that exists at every tunnel exit----people don't stop at the stop line and stick their nose out too far or give the appearance that they are not stopping at all. But that's a driver problem, not a MMP problem.

The stop sign, as usual, is at the tunnel exit. As far as the other tunnel you referenced, at Sarasota, yes, the stop sign is on the path from the driving range. I believe this is because the route through the tunnel and heading north is considered the main MMP, while the path joining from the right is a "spur" to the driving range and then over to Moyer. Once that path joins Moyer there is no longer any MMP anywhere in that section of TV---just diamond lanes, so I suppose that is the explanation.

MY wife and I use many precautions when either driving our golf cart or walking on the MMP's; however, we still have Dan Newlin
AND Morgan & Morgan on speed-dial on our phones.

That's nice. Let's just hope your attorneys never have to prove you were "dead right".

(And we wonder how many trillions of dollars are wasted on lawyers in our litigious society)

I also have to wonder about the mindset of anyone that "still has Dan Newlin
AND Morgan & Morgan on speed-dial"

I know that there are a lot of rollover accidents by golf carts that have their governor jacked up. I see women in golf carts going 30 MPH in a 20 MPH residential street. I would bet that her husband had their golf cart governor jacked up and she is fine with speeding everywhere. Well, I will blame the husband if the wife gets drunk and turns the golf cart over and breaks her neck. Laws can be enforced ........if there is a WILL there is a way. The people above the Police are too busy to worry about the SAFETY of some dingbat, little, nobody Villager.

Just one question: As I already posted, in 11 years and 29,000 miles on my cart, I've seen MAYBE 2 golf carts going about 30. Why is it that you see 30,40 and now 50 all the time????

Someone seems to have a very active imagination. Good luck convincing him it’s all in his head.

Thank you for your honesty......even though I don't agree with the concept of Golf Carts on the street or MMP NOT being REGULATED BY LAW AND THE POLICE to SOME STANDARD top speed such as 20 or 25 MPH.
