Default Need help...kitchen faucet dripping

I just called a handyman that was recommended but he doesn't do plumbing and now I'm at a loss. My kitchen faucet is dripping and the "nut" (not sure that's what you call it) holding the sink and the plastic pipe together is stripped. Can anyone recommend someone to help me?

Thanks!

The last time I called a plumber it was Tom Donnelly. That was quite awhile ago but he was prompt and honest. He is now called Vortex - 753-4636.

lots of folks on totv use their services and are very pleased with the results - we don't call anyone else.

I know of a really good handyman who's repaired a couple of faucets for me and done an excellent job. He's way cheaper than a plumber. Unfortunately, I don't have his number handy. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll give you his number.

Ouch! If the nut wasn't stripped you could do it yourself. My wifes aunt had the same problem in the bathroom. I took off the handle with a hex wrench and then removed the nut holding the plastic valve in place. Below the valve is a domed shaped poly washer over a small spring. All I had to do was lift out the washer and spring and replace the washer & spring. The valve goes back in and then the lock nut. These lock nuts really appear to be fragile. Anyway, it worked for her aunt. Good luck with yours!

I would like his number. This project may be to large for hije, but I can ask him. Thanks
