Default Each one of us can make a difference

I hated to see litter as I took my walk each morning in our beautiful community.
So, I bought some disposable gloves and each morning I carry a bag and pickup the litter that I see. It makes me feel a lot better and hopefully, it makes our community look a little cleaner.

Betcha a nickle that the litter that people are seeing is in and enroute to the new construction areas and the culprits are the construction crews.

When they move on, and they do quickly, they move their litter to the places where houses are being built and newly built...unfortunately. But they do move on..Just not OUT...yet.

I have a friend who runs five miles a day aome of it along Buena Vista south of Seabreeze and he carries a bag to collect litter. But I see him climbing though planting beds to find it.

Hats off to him and to our new friend Wiserbud47. We can all lend a hand.

It's not just the workers and smokers, a few weeks ago I saw a couple sitting on one of the benches along the golf cart path eating McDonalds on the way back they were gone but they left the wrappers.

Slobs are slobs.

Patty. It is time you joined the girls posse. We have a squirt gun that will fit your hand. We are recruiting new members right now too. Any takers?

I'd prefer a super-soaker.

As far as I am concerned they can ban all smoking outdoors everywhere. In is most uncomfortable to even have someone smoking on the sidewalks in the town squares. At least have them relegated to across the street. The smell is becoming more and more unpleasant and I do not know why anyone should have to put up with it.

Perhaps you should restrict yourself to the non-smoking area. Like it or not these people paid to live here-same as you.

As far as I know no one has ever developed lung cancer from inhaling second-hand Old Spice or Hai Karate.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

smoke knows no boundaries and therefore there is no such thing as a non smoking area. if i have to cross a smoking area to get to a non-smoking area...well, what is wrong with this picture? your rights to do what you want to do end where my rights begin. in other words....no smoking ok?

You're hijacking this thread What does this have to do with litter on the cart paths?

I'm suprised there is not a club for litter pickers. We do it now in our current neighborhood. You would be amazed at how much exercise you get walking and picking up litter. You will have help when we become frogs in March. Would be nice for villages to adopt areas for monthly clean ups and meet for brunch after.

My husband and I were driving to the Savannah center for an afternoon show the other day. We are driving along Morse Blvd. There is a small pickup truck with a lawn mower in the back. This guy tosses out a very large beverage cup and straw. Nearly hit our windshield. It rolled on to the graassy side to be added to the other litter we have been seeing. These service people come to make money here but don't care if they litter our grounds. So don't be surprized that anyone would intentionally litter.
