Had one in Pompano and it was competition for Costco. Will certainly beat Sam's.
I don't know why anyone would purchase groceries, other items from a place that charged you to get in. That alone makes your items higher priced from the get go. Never made sense to me. Plus if you use coupons, I have much better deals on smaller sizes and multiple coupons and save more money. Most people who go to Sam's, Costco, etc. think they are saving money but they really are not.

At the end of the year there is no doubt in my mind we have saved several hundred dollars by purchasing at Sams.

Excellent quality and better produce than we would get at other supermarkets.

Additional information to cram into an already crowded brain: "No matter how many times it changed hands though, the name BJ's Wholesale Club, persisted — so where did it come from? It may be tempting to assume that BJ's would simply stand for its brand Berkley Jensen, but it turns out that the name goes quite a ways back, right to those founding days in the '80s. Much in the same vein as Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, the famous B.J. initials actually came from Beverly Jean Weich, the daughter of the original owner and first president of the company, Mervyn Weich. That's a tribute that has definitely stood the test of time."

Obviously, location is the primary factor in choosing one over the other. My reason for using BJ's is the number of items that are stocked. The other two are similar, but don't carry as many items.

Can you confirm this? I don't see an "official" way. Lowe's is not accessible yet.

The best wholesale store I have ever been in was called Spags and was in Shrewsbury MA. We went there for years from Maine. I believe it closed in the early 2000's and was open for something like 70 years. Now that place had some great deals!!!

Yes, there is an "official" way, IF you are a Villages resident with a working gate card. Lowe's has been accessible for a long time, 10-15 years.

Default BJs--meh

I had a membership for at least 3 years up here in Albany. They have an excellent meat department if you can buy lots, divide it and freeze it. But the rest of it is brands I didn't want to buy, very limited, and over time I bought less and less there. I didn't miss it at all once I stopped shopping there.

I think we understand that that now. It has been stated several times already. Thanks though.

Default BJ's

Greatest thing about BJ's is something you like today will most likely be in stock next month. Not like Sam's who depend on Walmart overstock.
