We are moving down to The Villages from Canada with out two young Goldens and are very grateful that there will be leash free parks where they can play!

I just wonder why they chose the shorter part for large dogs and the longer part for small dogs. You would think that the large dogs could run better in the long park rather the a square box.
But glad it is going soon.

Yep saw it the other day. The one for large dogs is square while the one for small dogs is more rectangular. But the are both nice size with lots of benches, but it will be a while before the shade trees grow around the perimeter.

Will check it out in a few weeks. Curious if both are the same square ft. I guess I'll be counting the fence sections...

Has anyone tried the park where you pay outside of the Villages?
Doggie Doo Run Run is great. We have been going there since January 2007. It is up CR101 near the radio tower and kitty corner to the intersection of CR101 and CR104. This is north of Southern Trace Shopping Center on the right when travelling north.

It is $25 a month or $3 a day. $30 a month for two. $5 a day for two.

ok I maybe in the minority -- but I do not like dogs and really resent the way all the dog owners in the villages just believe that everyone loves their dog as much as they do -- tired of sharing facilities and especially the town squares and restaurant patios with four-legged creatures and I would especially not want my district money to go for building any more dog parks

Too bad. Off topic, and nobody really cares. District money is used for the benefit of all, not just you.

That's probably true. They need less square footage for exercise, though. (Except maybe those lightning fast Jack Russells!)

It will be great for all sizes.
