Default New game in the Villages

Was over at Seabreeze Rec center yesterday and saw people hitting a small ball back and forth over a net using the screen behind them. I don't know the name of the game was but it looked racket ball without the hard walls. Looks like alot of fun................. Only in the Villages they come up with all these cool games.

This was mentioned in a thread about the new Seabreeze center.

And it wasn't invented here. The game goes way back.

Platform or paddle tennis has been around a long time. Definitely did not originate in The Villages.

Platform tennis has been around in the northeast at least 50 years.

I googled paddle tennis and fond the video below. When you google paddle tennis both paddle tennis and platform tennis come up. They are either the same or close to the same.

[SIZE="3"]Saw this being played at a sports club in Spain last year. Husband said it is scored a little like the game of Squash, which he plays a lot of (!) He is looking forward to playing on our next visit.SIZE]
