Classic rock is your best bet for attracting an audience. I like Celtic music, but an FM radio station wouldn't last long with that format. Fortunately, I can find all the Celtic I want on the Internet.

Default need classical station

I am not quite sure if the new station is to be "competition" for the existing one or not. But I would love to be able to listen to classical music throughout at least part of teh day.By classical I mean baroque, MOzart, modern composers like John Williams.

Oldies first, then country mix in same era of 50's thru 70's.

#1 make sure it is accessible via the Internet and #2 if you mix genres, it would be nice to do it in blocks of time so those who like specific genres can listen when they want. You could select certain days to do a mix of genres. Looking forward to listening to whatever you decide.

Default New FM radio

I'd love to hear a little of everything. Blues, country (today or classic) rock n roll, disco etc. I agree we all have a wide range of musical taste and if the station has the ability why not play a little of everything which would appeal to the masses.

I agree with MMMark and a little bit more Jazz thrown in wouldn't hurt.

Classic rock from the 60s through the 90s would be my choice, but from a business standpoint you might go with a diversity throughout the day, including country, classical, blues, jazz, and Motown.

I would love to see some blues and blues rock and rock in the mix too. The Villages already does mostly oldies, so why not start going for the 50 y/o crowd who still like to rock, I like oldies but not every song has to be line danced too. sorry just my opinion. So why not come to the near distance future, there is good music after the 50's and 60's, give it a chance, and one last thing contact Mark up in Woodbury for maybe a radio show, he was a top dj up in Toledo.

Classic Rock would be great. There are already a lot of country stations. Look forward to listening.

CLASSIC COUNTRY would start my day off much better than what we are getting now starting at 6a.m. on KVLG.
