I never play country because my radio doesn't have a country & western adapter, you know, square speakers. My car has round speakers, so I'm stuck listening to rock.
I'm also like 44Apple and heard every classic rock song ever made more than a few times and have seen everyone from Deep Purple to Pink Floyd to the Allman Bros to Boston to Peter Gabriel. I was a big fan of WHFS in Wash DC and alternative rock, unfortunately they went Spanish a few years ago. For the last three years I've had XM/Sirius Radio in my car, and I love it. Today within 2 minutes I spun through 18 stations and heard everything from 50's to heavy metal and in between. |

Station management does NOT care about who lives here they care about younger future residents.....They replace retired pros with inexperienced Kids thats why the station sounds so bad

We recently moved to TV from Provincetown, Mass. There is a community radio station (WOMR) that has all volunteer DJs, who play whatever they want--including my favorite, the Metropolitan Opera Saturday programs. The station is very popular and streams online, where you can also view their program lineup. Listen for a day or so online. They play everything you can imagine!

I like oldies & classic rock 50's - 90's.
Not a big country fan except maybe a few of the newer ones.

I think this is an older post that has come back to life. I haven't heard on any progress towards actually making this happen. Given the limited range of a LPFM signal, even at 100 watts would not cover the entire Villages without a antenna being located almost dead center in LSL. Would the Villages allow this to be erected and would they want another signal broadcasting content that they cannot control.

I think it would be worth it to read the old posts..................before repeating something already posted.

It might, because I posted the original info on LPFM stations, thought is was worth repeating before too many people got too excited about the possibility of this ever happening.
