Default Newbee, internet, tv and phone?

Hello, I need some help, we will be here about a week every other month. What is the least expensive way to have internet services? We have no phone (just cell), tv or internet yet. TV doesn't seem to bother me as much. Also, does anyone know if I will have more channels once the conversion takes place if I have a converter and rabbit ears? I get 3 stations now with rabbit ears.
Thanks for the help

I don't live in The Villages yet but I can help you with the conversion question. In the new digital format television stations are able to transmit extra channels...sub channels if you will. If you get three stations now on rabbit ears you may get a few more depending on whether or not your local stations choose to transmit extra channels. I'm not sure how the "rabbit ears" will work. You will be able to buy an indoor antenna for the new digital format. I suppose the locals for The Villages would be in Orlando, Daytona and maybe Ocala?? Also, there could be translators closer to you which essentially retransmit programming from the main TV stations. I'm not sure about the central Florida setup though. Hope this helps.

Default TV on rabbit ears!

You CANNOT get a tv signal on rabbit ears, or any other kind of antenna in The Villages. You could if you could put up an outside antenna, but that ain't gonna happen...

Well, that answers it. If you can't pick up over the air signals with an indoor antenna in The Villages and if they don't allow television antennas on the roof than you don't need a conversion box. Cable systems and sat systems are already delivering digital television. Digital conversion boxes are only needed for over the air signals.

Default rabbit ears

I DO get three channels VERY well with my rabbit ears. Last night I even got the superbowl in well enough to see and hear it but it didn't get all the sound during the breaks (darn) So, I don't know if I'm in a different area and that is the difference or if the ears I bought are great or if the clouds just lined up in the right order....who knows. Also, I had our oldest son connect the ears
and they just do those gadget things so much better than I.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get internet for 2 plus weeks every three months or so in my house.
HELP IS ALSO NEEDED, when I try to go on the internet at Colony Cottage Center, the screen turns blue and then the internet shuts down and then up and then down. BUT, when I go to the Bagel shop I can hop right on. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
THANK YOU SO MUCH
