The CD rates are 4 to 5% at Florida Credit Union and excellent service so far!

We traded RVs locally a couple of years ago and the new financing was through Vystar CU. I've been very satisfied with them and have visited branch locations where the staff was friendly and helpful on 466 and in Ocala. We kept Bank of America as our main bank through several moves.

Permanent in Villages, kept banking with credit union up north & withdrawal cash via any Publix ATM. No problem.

They have an office in the Grand Traverse shopping center just west of Brownwood, so you can drive up Meggison to get there. One thing I like about them is that their ATM lets you choose your bills in any combination ($5, 10, and 20).
I also use Campus USA & recommend. Navy Federal mentioned before is also a good choice. Thirdly we have accounts at Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU) which we've had for 40 years. DCU is located in New Hampshire. No issues in using ATMs and getting or depositing large amounts of cash to DCU via Campus USA. I think all the different credit unions can move $$ between them on behalf the customer. So you might find your existing credit union is your primary choice ...

I like CUs. I have like both Fairwinds & Navy Federal but you still must have a military connection or a family member who is a NFCU member to become a NFCU member.

Also, if you want to do the easiest transactions in person with your own credit union back home but at a branch wherever you are, check if your northern CU participates in “shared branches.” “Shared branches” means you can transact most business inside any participating shared branch if you have an account at another CU in the system—make deposits, take withdrawals, get travelers or cashiers checks fee free, make loan payments, etc. Every shared branch is almost the same as if your CU owned that branch. But “Shared branch” is a network each must choose to belong or not.

And some CUs make (fee free) digital “external transfers” & some don’t.

NFCU does NOT do either. Fairwinds CU does both.

Fairwinds is affiliated with Univ of Central Florida/Orlando with its 69k students & 13k staff so Fairwinds has many branches & services around Orlando for their members. Many CUs have dropped their membership requirements because laws changed so they dont have to be restrictive any more. Fairwinds CU has no membership restrictions & accounts can be opened completely online.

Can some one recommend on that has ATM's or ATM Network that is abundant throughout the villages?

My current one is on the Falcon Network and I don't see that network on any of the ATM I have come across

Thanks
Navy Federal doesn't have a branch in TV but most publix atms are free. Hey have one near orlando though.. You can do all of your banking online or over the phone.

Default ATM’s

Check with your CR to see if they are in the network with Allpoint ATMs. Allpoint ATMs are located all around the Villages without an extra fee.
