With todays Daily Sun newspaper was the 2007-2008 version of Newcomers A Guide to The Villages & Surrounding Counties. This book has 289 pages and is 10 by 13 inches in size. Yes it has a lot of advertising but also has great information. Before I moved here full time I had called the Daily Sun and had them send me a copy. I can't remember how much it was but I purchased several of them by mail.

I just got around to calling the number for the newcomer's guide. They told me you had to come in and get it, they wouldn't ship them out.

If you live out of the area, they definitely will mail it. I just ordered ~ an hour ago. The guide costs $5 and the shipping is $5. I also asked them not to mail it until Monday, and include the Sunday edition of The Villages Daily Sun. That cost me an additional $4 for the paper with shipping. I put the $14 in charges on a charge card. I suggest you call back and keep calling back until you reach an employee who knows what (s)he is doing.

I am glad that they are mailing them out. I had gotten them mailed to me for the last 2 years and was shocked to hear that they would not mail them now.

This years is good but I liked the past years better because they had a lot of articles from the Daily Sun. If they have last years perhaps they will sell you both.
