Hi all - I live in Mission Hills and saw heavy equipment entering today as well as workers etc - so it looks like the building of new homes is back on. Never had any worries - in fact - really don't care - I love it here (with or without more homes)!! JANE - so glad to hear you're in town - can't wait to meet!

Glad to hear the gossip I repeated isn't true.

Also so nice to meet Jane in person. Lovely, smart, fun girl!

bought a place in Fairwinds villas, we didn't really want to live in Mission Hills, but that's just our choice. Our builders said they were finishing our area ofg 80 or so villas and heading back to Mission Hills, so I'd guess it's going to be full speed ahead.

We talked to realtor a month ago and she told us that sales were not going as planned. She also said they had reduced prices there hoping sales would pick up.

We looked at homes in Mission Hills with a friend the other day and did not see any prices lower than when we bought in Dec. our realtor which have known for years was showing us.

I feel that whoever told you that was completely misinformed. I follow prices and there have been no drop in prices.

I think the reason for the temporary cessation of building is just what another poster stated. I think that they have crews who concentrate on certain homes styles. The Designer crews, probably several of them and the Villas crews Ditto and the Premiers which I think is only one or two. They do one stint in an area and move to the next assigned. With Mission Hills they probably did a lot and then went to the other area of villas being built and now will go back again to Mission Hills.

Some of the things we hear from non village realtors and even contractors are just what they heard from someone else and may or may not be the truth. I have heard so many bodacious things repeated on here that weren't anywhere near what happened eventually.

We do love to talk and to type. You can remind ME of my number of posts. I am the worst one.

Bodacious... what a great word. Forgot all about that word. I love it. (from a former editor and English major.)

Ha-ha! You tapped both my editor AND my English major button. And I thought I was retired! Thanks for the laugh.
