They are offering 4% off for the lifestyle visit for two months? Or 4% off the cost of houses?

As of today, there are still 28 new homes for sale with great discounts in the Village of Lake Deaton where my home is located. There is one new house with a $64,500 discount that has a second floor room. The other house that I had previously mentioned is sold. Where is my commission?

Makes me glad I bought my new house in Lake Deaton a year ago at full price. Maybe they'll give me a free cart path map---lol

Our preowned was 20% higher then the orginal purchase price. But then there was the landscaping, fans, blinds, birdcage, garage stairs, and textured drive. Both of our new houses had discounts, so they do come and go. No word on the fruitland park yet wonder if there will be discounts

It takes around 50k to do all the things that must be done to a new home, and I am not talking pools and the like. I know because I keep a spreadsheet to track what this little (Jasmine model) home cost me. And of course I bought at the top of the market. A best buy is a pre-owned home. I will never buy new again. Lessons learned, I only ever learn the hard way... I do, however, love my neighborhood. I have the best neighbors in the world. I know everyone thinks that, but mine really are. They will take me out of here feet first.

According to The Villages website, the 4% discount is for the first 135 people who select a lot and build their dream house between May 1 and July 31, 2015.

Were there no blinds or fans in the new houses you were looking at? Just curious, because my neighbor said the same thing about her model if bought new, but others have disagreed with me that they were not supplying fans and blinds in the new houses. I also have heard that some of the same models in new have smaller square footage. I'm trying to verify some of these statements.

C, we have talked about this before and I just read your post and went to the site and went to look for a Gardenia, and the very first one I clicked on had blinds.

Which makes me jump to the conclusion that the built to sell homes are like they always were; some have blinds and some don't, some have stainless steel appliances and some don't and some are bumped and some aren't and some have pools and some don't. We had this conversation about ceiling fans and I went to look and the first one I clicked on had a ceiling fan.

I can’t speak for the other models, but the new 2015 Holly’s in Labelle are almost identical to the 2013/2014 Holly builds in Lake Deaton other than being 2 to 5% higher in price.

know you said that, GG, but my neighbor said differently about her designerhere in TG as opposed to the open house of a spec home she went to a year ago in a new neighborhood south of 466A. She was making a direct comparison of what came with her house vis-a-vis what came with her house in the new section.

My friend noted that her Iris is smaller in that they have made the laundry room smaller, whereas hers has a home-office nook in it.

And now we have somebody else who is stating similar issues. I am trying to get through the hearsay to the truth. Perhaps this was true a year ago but was changed back due to negative feedback from customers.
