I logged out of TOTV, closed browser, deleted history and cookies, then logged back into TOTV and posted a new thread. Notification still not working. Talk Host and his crew would have already solved this problem.

Howdy,

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. I have been testing it for some time and I am getting the notifications. I'm trying to narrow down why some of you are experiencing this issue.

Those of you not getting subscription notifications please email me the following information.

Username on Talk of the Villages
Name of Internet Service Provider
Email address used to register on Talk of the Villages
Email program used on computer. ie: Outlook, Gmail over the web

I started getting notifications again, about 4 days ago.

Centurylink ISP

Thunderbird e-mail program....

DITTO. I also began getting notifications again yesterday.
It's really hard not to become paranoid on this site........

It's nice to get the updates again via email.....via notifications.

Windows Live e-mail program
Windows 7 HP computer; newest version before they switched to "8"

Problem now fixed for me as well...hadn't worked for several weeks, then about 5 days ago I started getting notifications again from TOTV.

Comcast is my ISP.
I believe Comcast uses Microsoft Outlook for their e-mail.

Technology is great...when it works.
