I had Xfinity until this year. I never had a problem with it. I believe I had the 75Mb service for about $65/month.

They raised their price a little plus started charging me for paying with a credit card. I looked around and decided to give T-Mobile 5G internet a try and this has worked well for me so far. Had Xfinity not messed around with my price I would still be with them today.

I have Xfinity internet, cable TV, Netflix, landline digital phone, and Xfinity Mobile cell phone service. My internet speed is 1.2GB. I just paid my bill with a credit card. I don't have any issues with them. The total charge for those services is about $270 per month.

You should've gotten in touch with them and renegotiated.

I'm paying $50/month for 300Mb serevice with Xfinity. Internet only, credit card payment. Same as I've been paying for 5 years, since I call them the month before my term is up and renegotiate the current "special offer." Which is always $50/month. That is with /no/ autopay, and /no/ modem rental. It'd be $40/month if I did autopay.

Not my style. I don't beg a company to treat me well; I look at how I'm treated and choose to stay or leave. In this case I left.

It all worked out for the better - I switched my phone service, took advantage of some promotions, got a higher internet speed, and am saving something like $800/year.

Depending on your Village, you might investigate the availability of Quantum Fiber Optic. 500 Mbps for $50. You could go to their website & check if it is available at your house.

We have it and it works out ok but slower than others but fast enough for us.

Also have TV with them and works ok but they keep raising their rates and refuse to negotiate so soon we will be former customers

I have it, because we can't get anything else. It works, but their service stinks.

Had xfinity for 4 years. Got tired of renegotiating the price every year. Went with quantum fiber. Flat $50 for ever for 500+ mb up and down.

Xfinity has many options. I just got their 1 gig service for $65 a month. Includes all taxes. Had to sign a 2 year contract for the discounts which includes auto pay. They debit my credit card automatically $65. No charge for using the credit card. FYI. It's up to 1 Gig download. I use a wifi router so my speeds are more like 700 mb.

When we had Xfinity in Minnesota, they had a monthly data cap useage charge. If you go over that data limit, you are charged extra. Check to see if Xfinity has a data cap in Florida. Spectrum and Frontier do not have data caps in Florida.

It’s funny reading some of these posts about negotiating with xfinity and paying $50 - $65 for slow speeds. Yes, 300Mb/500Mb are slower speeds. That’s not negotiating. When negotiating, you do a little homework on what’s out there and then you tell the company; if you don’t give me X for this much, I’m leaving you and going to Y.
I used to have xfinity with 1.2Gb speed (1200Mb) for $80 a month for almost 2 years. I’m an ex network guy and when I tried to do certain configurations on their router, things didn’t work and their tech support was blaming me for not doing it right. In the long run, I was right and they looked foolish.
I went with spectrum for a couple of reasons:
* spectrum uses a modem for their internet so I could use my mesh network routers. Much better than the 1 box xfinity
* I can configure the router the way I want it to be, no limitations
* I pay $39 for 1.2Gb (1200Mb).
So far, no issues, and my mesh network is far better than paying for the xfinity 1 box router/modem.

For the poster that pays $270 a month, that’s 2x for what you should be paying. For example, if you have spectrum, 1 cell phone service is free, another line is really cheap. Instead of getting a land line, get an Ooma device and I used to pay $3-$5 a month. Ooma is a voip device that comes with answering machine and other landline benefits. YouTube TV is $80 a month and Netflix is $5. All this would be in the $130-$140 per month for spectrum 1.2Gb service, tv, and cell. Right now I don’t use spectrum for the phones because I have 8 months left on a contract but I will be switching to spectrum after that.
