Fire back with a quick question to the offer.
“Are you willing to sell your real estate company?”

Most in my neighborhood who bought 20 plus years ago are getting them, including me. I think they are going after people they think are ready to move into assisted living. Public records are easy to get. Just ignore them, they lowball by at least 100,000 of what your home is actually worth. A neighbor was curious, her home is worth about 425,000 per the Villages agent, the buy as is guy offered 258,000. Just throw those solicitations in the trash where they belong.

The real estate market is so tight everywhere in the country. Some of us boomers and beyond — who have been buying houses since our 20s — might not be aware of how ridiculous the rental market has become because investors are in competition with those who just want to buy a house to live in.
In some areas, homes within an affordable range are being gobbled up by investors who turn them into rentals with high rents. Hard assets — maybe more work than playing the stock market, but must pay off handsomely. I have heard there are local governments that are trying to do what they can to stop this highly profitable practice that is littering neighborhoods with rentals. In TV the game might be slightly different and maybe it’s just flippers or wannabe TVers. But my guess is we will be seeing more and more rentals as this US real estate market shows no signs of normalizing. Boomer

Two more in the mail today. Never responded to one. This is getting old. I am going to start writing return to sender and put them back in the mail.

I live here all year and I am hounded by these crackpots! I even block them when I get texts and calls yet somehow they just persist. It is frustrating
