OH my dear Karen, Don't worry!

She's MY neighbor everyone, lucky me.

I can't wait to get down there and one more tiny impediment is coming out, MY chemo port is leaving as soon as I get an appointment with the surgeon. My oncologist said to get rid of that today. YES.

Now If I can get Sweetie to say his final Goodbyes to this job of 47 years, we can come to TV anytime we want to. He sounded down today, it is hard for anyone to stop the money coming in, especially in this economic climate. This final stage of turnover is hard on him.

You too are all such good responsible people, what a joy to share this life with you. Every one of you here on TOTV is a gift.

Wow! Forty seven years at one job, I am impressed. We send our congratulations to your Sweetie upon his well earned retirement. Mr. Peachie left his occ after 39 1/2 years and we felt that was something for this day and age. The economic situation did make leaving more difficult for us too but Mr. Peachie is loving his new life with part-time work. He is an ambassador on a golf course for one of his jobs and we laugh when he gets his little paycheck. The course managers don't know he would work for nothing, he loves it! I think Sweetie will find his retirement passion and what better place to look than TV.

And great news about that port, my sister said there is a mental lift when that is removed. See you in TV soon!!

The villages is a great place to live, but no place is perfect. We are struggling to ignore the oppressive Republican atmosphere, with the paper, TV, radio, slant on everything it is like Stepford town here. There are a lot of independent thinkers but they are pretty much underground. I don't get it that everyone thinks the Republican party is their savior. How do they help us? The last 8 years should have taught us SOMETHING!.

Dear Gracie Girl.
Been lurking for some time, with an occasional post, but joined this thread when I relized You were having health issues. You have been such a joy to read, whatever the topic.
Visited in July, found TOTV and realized this will be our next home.
Thanks to people like you.
Hope to one day be a Villager and be you neighbor, friend.
Manwhile, prayers and happy thoughts only,
Gail

Gail, Do you feel this hug? I thank you for those prayers and many like them is the reason that dumb port is leaving. I feel so happy to be looking a whole new life in the face and so glad that I have another "G" girl to share it with.
