The only yard my dog is subjected to is mine. My comment was a general one noting the potential problem walking dogs on hot days.

Up to 16! Is there a limit on the number of pages before the thread is closed? The first KB thread went 31 pages...

Threads with a dog poop theme or sub-theme never end. They may go away but they always come back.

The number of responses are a good indication of the problem that really exists here.

I also don't think it's illegal for someone to step off the hot pavement onto your easement to avoid traffic or to prevent their dog's paws from getting burned. Carl in Tampa has explained these people are not trespassing.
We take our dogs daily to DDRR, the private dog park, and we're happy to pay for this privilege.
Read post #63 Or better call janet tutt and let her explain what a easement means

Or the few people who are on TOTV that are very adamant in their beliefs, and I am deffinetely one of those.

As long as my neighborhood remains friendly and allows folks to take walks with their dogs.....I'm fine.

And....with the hot weather arriving, my pup will be inches on to your property, as will all of the other dogs in my neighborhood....and I'm fine with that too.

Sorry. But I do not believe there is a problem - really, there is not a problem.

After reading all these posts and replies, it makes me love my dog loving neighborhood even more. I would guess we have about 12 to 14 dogs of different sizes and ages in our immediate neighborhood. Our pups are out on leashes at all times of the day and evening - each one leaving and reading p-mail. Not one of our neighbors has ever made a comment about piddling on grass - and all of us pick up stray poops. There is a segment of our neighborhood that is around a pond where we all go to "potty town" for major business and sniffing of p-mail. Never, ever have we encountered leave behind poops.
All I can say is that you have all made me love my neighbors even more. We all love our dogs and our lawns - we co-exist in a loving way.... And there isn't ONE neighbor who objects to p-mail being left behind for the next group of dogs on their walks.

SO well said, and so agree here. Wish I was a neighbor there too.

But all of ours = both critter-owners and not, get along fabulously. Makes for a pleasant neighborhood and life.

Well said. A great description of my neighborhood as well.

My neighborhood as well. No pet, leash, pee, poop, etc problems at all. We have all breeds. A lot of Goldens, but the majority small. No complaints and that makes us all very content ☺️ And the pups love it too.🐶

Jumping out of the way of a car or cart would surely be understood and would not likely generate a complaint. However, allowing the dog to venture into another's property on a retractable leash that is not retracted is not understood.

When it is so hot that the pads of a dog's feet could get burned - why are people even walking their dogs at that time of day? Why are they not walking as some here do before/after the pavement is that hot? Why are they not going by car or cart to someplace else?
