Garage sale signs are all over the place, especially on corners to give directions.

Bet you would want your sales agent to do everything possible, if you sold your house!
Many of those signs were taken down at 2-3 am. Remove your signs after hours! Keep them 10’ away from stop signs and traffic lights. Balloons or not, they will be removed.

I recently sold out villa by owner. The village's watch did take our sign on the corner, however they brought it to my home and explained to me that the signs cannot be within 10 feet of a stop sign. We simply moved them further away and never had an issue.

[QUOTE=kgentile1010;1854873]Hi All,

I'm having an Open House for my Villa that's for Sale and someone keeps taking the 'Open House' signs. I put them on the corner of Hillsboro and Oracle outside the Villa Walls and I put one on the corner of Oracle and Nuthatch, at the entrance to Kelsea Villas.

Does anyone know why people would take my 'Open House' signs? Am I supposed to get permission from The Villages to put the signs out?

Thank you for your help.
Well, if they keep being removed, that should be the first hint that they arent permitted. You kept putting them back up?? Many communities have restrictions on signs. We want our neighborhood clean, not cluttered with signs.

If everybody was inconsiderate like you we would have garage sale signs, lost dogs, work wanted, open house all over the neighborhood. Common sense please.

As a Realtor we will hang some Balloons on the street sign post. People understand there is an event of some kind going on and will go down the street. Once farther down you can put Open House directional signs on the corners.

Could you possibly tell us what other rules you like to break? It might be handy to know when considering who to hire.

That’s not true I’ve seen village sign on a pole that says open house

Unless you live on a corner. Same rule as dogs, keep it on your own property, that’s what you paid for.
