Default Packing people...

Hi-
I am moving out of The Villages in mid-October--and need someone to do packing for me. I am disabled---so, it would be hard on me to do it all myself. Does anyone know anyone who does a good job--but, who charges much less than The Village Movers? (120/hr)....

Thanks,
Lynn Fitzgerald

Lynn, try calling Settle In Style and see what they tell you. You'll find their phone no. on their web site. (Click link in first sentence) They've been around for some time and I have used them a number of times for restaurant deliveries. I know they do help with unpacking, but the site doesn't mention packing. It's worth a call though to find out if they will and how much!

Contact our sales rep thru the Villages Sales Office - Laurie Briggs. We sold our house and had a closing 3 weeks after we put it on the market and couldn't get down to pack everything. She had some folks come in and pack up everything for us and a moving service put everything in storage until our new house is built. It was $25/hr for the packing.

Lynn,
If you didn't check, you may want to ask how many people they are sending for $120/hr. When we had a truck unloaded, they sent 3, and they really hustled. It was less than 2 hrs for a 26 foot truck. I'm sure the packing will be slower, but they didn't dilly-dally like I've had one mover do.
