Let's see if I understand this. If you are arrested for DUI, it is OK to post your name and photo. If you are arrested for PSUI (public sex under the influence), it isn't... I guess that I don't quite see the problem. If you break the law (and indecent exposure and lewd public behavior is against the law), you can't expect that behavior to be ignored with a shrug and a "people will be people." By your late 60s, it is sort of expected that you have figured out that somethings simply are not done in public.

A previous arrest of one of the folks for DUI tends to make me less tolerant. Perhaps this will give the judge leverage to order treatment.

Bet if someone tried to get the squares made "clothing optional" the same folks upset by the current publicity would be upset that at the prospect of making it all legal.

It's not what they did, it's where they did it, in public. Their crime was not finding a more private place. This is advertised as an active adult community and so it is.

Very active. A 61 year old man was arrested yesterday with a 22 year old woman in The Village of Amelia, along with a large quantity of marijuana. Read all about it at The Villages on-line news, complete with mug shots.

Ok, admit I have not read all these posts, so this might be old news. Apparently the female party IS married and has a handicapped husband. Sad, sad situation. Was at Cal's today and that's the topic of the day. Yes, I feel bad for this lady....her children, her grandchildren....but damn...what the hell was she thinking......

My Mom always said that if you don't want to read about it on the front page of the NY Times, then you shouldn't do it. We can argue about whether or not their mug shots and names should be public, but that will not change the fact that this is the age we live in, and stuff like this will always be published. Witness the fact that close to 10,000 people have read this post. These folks do not have to worry about their dignity being stripped away (no pun intended) by a newspaper article, they did that all by themselves. I believe that the very powerful disease of alcoholism had a lot to do with this. I hope she gets the help she needs. But she chose to drive drunk previously and she chose to act without any class and dignity last night. No one can help her until she wants to be helped.
