Default Live nearby?

Is it possible to rent nearby the Villages for the winter and still participate in some the activities at the Villages?

Is it easy to find a place for one person at the Vilages for the winter? Can one participate in activities if one just rents?

If you rent outside the villages to my knowledge the only thing you can use are the restaurants, shopping and live music at the squares....If you rent inside the villages all ammenities are at your fingertips for a small fee which I believe is like 50 dollars.

If you rent in The Villages you may participate in any and all activities. However if you live outside you may not. In fact if you live within one of the three counties that TV is in, you may not even participate as a guest.

The town squares are open to all. Events that require you to buy a ticket are usually open to non Villagers.

However golf and other recreation activities are limited to Villages residents and their guests.

I recommend you rent in TV if you have any interest in recreation, pools or golf because these activities are for residents only unless you are a guest staying with a resident.

On Airbnb there are quite a few rentals in the villages that rent out a suite in their home. The reviews in general love that the host is there, and often shows them around and includes them in activities. It would be a good way for a single person to check out the villages.

The executive courses are residents and guests only but the Championship Courses can be played by anyone.

Hi if you rent, you can buy a recreation pass and it is worth it for sure, I think it is good for the entire rental period.
You can call the Village offices from the phone book, they are good at getting information together.
There are rentals in the Sun paper, and also on Rental Homes | Houses For Rent | Homes for lease | Homes For Rent By Owner - FRBO.com etc, rentals by owner.
I heard offhand, that if you have a guest pass, then the golfing is free but limited to something? We do not golf. Ask the sales office.
Go on line to the www.villages and look at a map and decide, do you want to walk to everything, golf cart to it or drive. Do you care about busy roads, swimming pools (plenty in the rec centers) the rec centers are really awesome.
Some rentals have golf carts furnished and if not there are several places to rent carts, and be careful all of them are not a bargain, do some shopping, and they will bring it to your place included in the price.
Do you want a villa, all fenced and private, small garage or a house with a lot of room and yard and garages?
Good luck. bbbbbb

When you rent in TV. Resident pass is $50 for up to two renters in home. Owner fill out paperwork and turns over their passes to TV. You use TV as if you are a resident. A guest pass you can do anything except the sports pools. Executive course was a $12 fee in May for golf and riding in a golf cart.

I thought that was only if tee times are available on that day, no advance reservation of a tee time is allowed unless you live in TV
