Will the 4000 Villagers who signed the petition commit to a monthly subscription service? $75 a month, you get unlimited movies at the Brownwood theater. Cheaper than Netflix.
It’s not a charity, it needs to make $$$$
In what universe is $75/month cheaper that Netflix???? ($17/month)

That sounds like a likely prospect.

I walked around a local dog park years ago with a professional pickleball instructor who was here for six months or so. She was from further south but had been taking advantage of the newer interest in pickleball back then here in the Villages. It sounded like she was a very busy lady.

I'd like to see a combination casino, cannabis lounge, and gentlemen's club.

The price of Netflix wasn’t really the point of the post.

Point is, running a theater is expensive, it won’t be sustained with people going to the movies on a thursday afternoon twice a month.

+3k signatures.

One person quoted, "For the last six months or more, she and her husband and a friend have been going once a week and there are usually 10-15 people there per show, she said.".....................BINGO.

Then you have another wishing for Katie Belle's.

These people are deluded and wasting their time. The theater wasn't profitable & TV is not a charity organization. Personally I think that the real reason these people that still want a movie theater is because they are too old and stupid to understand how to stream movies & set up a home theater sound system.
