Default Piano donation

Does anyone know of an organization or church that would like a free piano? They have to arrange pick up. It is an upright Kawai piano in excellent condition. I am moving and have to sacrifice. Thank you 302-584-2211

When I retired, I ran a Habitat Restore for a bit and quickly learned never to accept pianos because they never sold.
Several customers ended up having to pay to have it "hauled away".

You might try offering it free on Craigslist. If you do, I would also recommend you get it moved out of the house into your garage first since I suspect no one wants to damage your house moving it.

We had a "contemporary" upright Kawai in NJ before we moved for our daughter who took a couple piano lessons back in the late 70's. It was a beautiful instrument and an excellent piece of furniture for holding books and magazines in the seat and piling junk on top of it. NO ONE would take it as a sale or as a giveaway. I called schools, churches everyone you can think of for over a year, paid to advertise it in classifieds and posted it in every store that had a CBB and on every website. What we finally did with it was give it to a family friend 70 miles away who would gladly take it if WE would pay to move it. $400 later they had it. They did make us a nice dinner. LOL Good luck! Maybe it's different down here.
