Talking Piano room

Hi,

I've purchased a courtyard villa here in the villages (1600 sq ft). I would like to purchase a piano since I play the piano but need to make room. Anybody turn a lanai into a piano room? Or done anything to make room for a piano?

Any ideas welcomed.

Thanks in advance

If you watch the classifieds, Nextdoor, Marketplace, Craigslist, many times ads come up with people giving pianos away. We got a nice Baby Grand for free, just had to have it moved.

You don’t want it on the lanai, your neighbors will not thank you. I put mine by the wall in the dining room, and had a damper for the sound installed. It has a beautiful sound and can fill the house easily.

Lanai ONLY if glass enclosed and air conditioned, otherwise the moisture will probably destroy your piano. I would suggest inside the house, carpeted floor, and sound absorbing material on the walls.
