There is a pavilion with picnic tables at the Fenney recreation area but no grilling, also one at the DeSoto pool and possibly all the neighborhood pools down south. Take a ride and check them out.

On the bank of the lake at Spanish Springs town square. There's room to spread out a bunch of lawn chairs, I've seen folks make a half-circle with their golf carts and congregate that way too.

Just about every rec center has a picnic pavillion. My softball team had picnics at Sterling Hgts Rec and Fish Hawk Rec Center. Also LSL at the waterfront next to the radio station. The county park at Lake Miona.
Lake Sumter Landing next to the radio station ![]() Lake Miona County Park off Rainey Trail ![]() Most every rec center has a picnic pavilion by the bocce courts

In the lawn between Freedom Pointe and the gatehouse at the eastern end of Morse Blvd. Totally cart accessible, lots of space, many go there for sunsets and to walk dogs. No real place to park a car though, you might get one or two at the gatehouse parking spots or at the hospital and walk over.

Actually most pools ( other than sports pools) have picnic tables both north and south and then you can play shuffle board and bocce. But the small park near the Mission Hills is ideal because it is all trees. If you don't know where it is it is tucked in the cirner of Morse Blvd and 466 but you can only access via golf cart.
