There is a nice picnic area on the Buena Vista cart trail just north of the bridge over Lake Sumter Landing and south of 466.

Boone Park. Corner of Kim Lane and Silver Oaks. Gazebo on pond with BBQ grill. Very quiet. I never see anyone using it.

There is a pretty dock behind Paradise Rec Center. The end of the dock is covered and has two picnic tables. During the shutdown, we would play golf with another couple, then take a picnic lunch to the pier afterwards. It was very private and "safe". I think it would be lovely for your "quiet" picnic!

Agree with all the posts about the locations on the historic side ...that's where I live and it's wonderful ...quiet/ great views/ big live oaks /ponds.
My wife like my chicken waldorf salad - cooked bite sized chicken pieces - red and green grapes halved - chopped celery - chopped apples, handful of dried cranberries - large handful of walnuts all wrapped in a light coating of mayo !!! YUM !! |

High school flame? I was in high school 53 years ago. You haven't aged a bit since high school. What did you say? I left my hearing aids at home. |
