Holiday events, etc.

Being new to TV this will be our first year not being with family for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years eve. Are there events, gatherings, group stuff to attend during the holiday season?

Only organized holiday event that comes to mind is the tree lighting ceremonies on the 3 squares.
