Default POA newsletter

Why is it acceptable for the POA paper to be slung in every driveway? Seems a better delivery method would be in a rack at the postal stations so those who want one can pick one up or even better just have the info available on a website. That paper sitting in a driveway for weeks shows who is home and who isn’t

Worse this time of year with so many folks having gone north. We cancelled ours from coming years ago but still pick up a bunch from neighbors driveways and off the streets.

I sent email and they stopped mine, but neighbours are gone and theirs lays on driveway till it blows away or goes down sewer. What a waste. No wonder people dislike them, litter bugs. Who can we get to stop it?

It should be illegal for organizations/companies to throw their trash onto private property. There are a number of snowbird homes in my area and these droppings (yes, I meant it to sound like that) blow all over the neighborhood until someone picks it up. The house next door and across the street from me are snowbirds. I look out for their property and pick up these droppings all the time. Residents of TV pay a lot of money to maintain the standards in our neighborhoods and can face fines for violations, yet this trash problem is allowed to happen with no consequences. Does it sound fair that a snowbird homeowner can face fines for trash left on their property by a third party who faces no fines for being a litterer?

One quick email to the POA will stop them from delivering it.

Is it fact about the homeowner being fined or is this just your opinion? I think the latter.

I realize that but I can’t send an email and stop all of them. My POA newsletter is not the issue it’s the delivery method to every house whether occupied or not!

I am complaining about something that essentially is litter. There has to be a better delivery method like possibly US MAIL or just a website for those interested

Tried to stop similar papers where we previously lived but the city said it was covered by "freedom of speech" as it was a newspaper. Contacting that paper didn't help. That paper was a local "advertising" paper with some "news" in it. We used to have 3 or 4 of them every week. Good exercise bending over, picking it up, and throwing it in the trash!

That being said, simply call the POA and they will stop it. In our neighborhood here it seems to only get delivered to those who are members of POA and no one else. One person's litter is another person's treasure.
