If these two were there for any period of time, they must have been coming and going. I would have questioned their presence. She has a ton of mugshots and she certainly looks like a drug user. Sad what addiction does to a person. She has a family somewhere.......

No, we're not surrounded by dealers and thieves in TV. The only two we know of we're arrested this morning. All the others were from surrounding areas in the county. Yes, the surrounding area is dangerous. And I agree Kudos to the law enforcement.

.................12 live in Wildwood.

I can see someone renting their home to a stranger here, especially if they were helped by that stranger. People are exceedingly trusting. Please note that the homeowner gave them permission to search the home, so let's not dump on the homeowner.

One known meth house in all of TV is not bad. I wouldn't be surprised to hear of one or two more and not just by renters. Since I travel all over TV, I was once offered a job making deliveries for a "gentleman." At first, I thought it was delivering eBay or garage sale items but when I was told I could fit the packages in my pocket, I asked if there was a chance I could be arrested with these packages. When I got no reply, I declined the position. This was not a young man, this was a man in his 60s who definitely owned his home.

Yes, it is important to know your neighbors, to be aware of what is going on in your neighborhood, to report suspicious activity. We need to accept that there is a diverse group of individuals that live here. They're not all going to be good guys, but the majority are.

Oh, and kudos to Sumter County for trying to clean up some of the drug problems. Eighty arrests in one county in one month is pretty impressive.

The Sun does a good job of reporting the news here. DANG it makes me mad when people slam it for no reason.

In the very nice area of West Chester, Ohio that we just moved from there were two meth labs discovered in homes that were rented in the last few years.

I don't know what anyone can do about this kind of stuff but it is VERY concerning. That house is toast, I would imagine as for being inhabitable.

I don't know what they can do about the hazardous contamination of homes used for meth labs.

It won't physically harm the neighborhood but I can just imagine the absolute disappointment and frustration of the decent folks living around it. Why do people allow things like this??? The story of "taking them in" is so strange. They certainly don't look like fine upstanding young people to me. Call that judgmental.

What an awful shame. AND I mean that literally too.

It probably was NOT as sophisticated as the "lab" shown on the hit t.v. show BREAKING BAD whereby Walter the chemistry teacher and his young buddy get into serious meth manufacturing and run ins with drug cartels, etc.

This was yesterday's news....he was cooking and she was helping.

Deputies discover meth lab in The Villages, 2 arrested
The sheriff’s office said the homeowner, who was not identified, gave them permission to search the home where they found meth and ingredients for making it in the attic above the garage.

Deputies said Huot was cooking the meth and Hyder admitted to helping.

The article in the link provided by buggyone stated that the discovery was based on an anonymous tip.

Gracie, I appreciate that link about clean up. It never occurred to me that would be such an issue. You know our area of Kansas has a lot of poor trashy folks living out in the boondocks. Five years ago we built a new broadcast tower in a remote area of the county and I was out there a great deal during construction. The area was littered with run down houses, shacks really, beat up mobile homes, etc. Of course fixing the homes is never an issue around here. They only find out about the labs when the people manage to blow themselves up, which seems to happen about once a month.

As to this home owner here, is there any chance this was just a lonely person glad to have some company? Just a thought.

Looking at the mug shots these people look like poster children for meth labs. My gosh the dark circles around her eyes. She could do a zombie movie with no makeup.
