I have, a group was on the corner of 466A and Morse Blvd. Right out where little children could see it while riding by in a car. Disgusting, sick people with no morals or respect for decent people.

I don't know if the kind of language I saw would be permitted on this forum.

Freedom of speech is one thing, but when you buy in this community, you agree to deed restrictions and other rules. I suppose that The Villages could institute a rule of no vulgarity on golf carts but I think that those of us that live here would be grandfather in.

I detest the large political flags that are in our neighborhood. We actually have them for different political views. However, they truly detract from the beautiful and relaxing sense one gets when traversing the neighborhoods.

What does a senior community have to do with it? If political signage is allowed then criticism of the community power grab on costs here should be as well!

It has nothing to do with it being a senior community. Many communities have deed restrictions. My sister lives in a community in New Hampshire that is not age restricted and there are certain rules they have to abide by. When you bought your house, you signed papers agreeing to abide by certain rules. You essentially agreed in writing to give up some of you freedoms.

I've seen large posters for both candidates on the windshield of golf carts. I have no issue. People want to proclaim who they support. It's non-violent. I have NO desire to do that, but I respect that everyone has freedom of speech.
A golf cart must follow the rules of the road just as a car and can be ticketed just as a car. The law for motor vehicles states that you cannot obstruct your view out of the windshield by putting anything on the windshield, why should it be different for golf carts? Just saying.

Exactly what form would your actions take? If it is proportional, it would be your own sign, not a verbal rant or physical assault, I hope. If you don’t like a sign, just look away. We need to stop the verbal and physical violence that has become an acceptable political action. United we stand, divided we fall.

I agree that vulgar language only incites and should not be displayed in America's Friendliest Hometown. However, regardless of how nasty a person is, or how obnoxious, spiteful, vindictive, etc that person still has the right to display his/her stupid sign. I have no problem with political posters being displayed ANYWHERE, except where forbidden by statute or deed restriction. I doubt if a vulgar sign would convince me to vote for a particular candidate.
Like I said, display your signage where you wish. Stay out of my business and I will stay out of yours. If you choose to cover your windshield and you have an accident, have fun explaining your way out of it......even if you were in the right.
GOD bless America and the Freedom the Constitution allows us.

Why not get a tattoo and put it on your back and drive without a shirt so you can proclaim unending devotion? Why should ANY politician be worth proselytizing for? Proselytizing religion is bad enough but these are POLITICIANS of which 90% are in it for just the power and money. Can you "love" someone so much you need huge signs to prove it? If so why doesn't anyone put signs with their wife or grandkids on the big obnoxious signs? I guess you love politicians more than family? What have politicians ever done for you that they deserve such adulation? This is SICK. Outsiders laugh at what goes on around here. The parades, the political flags, the signs. It's embarrassing for both sides. I dare to say there is nowhere else that is so obnoxiously involved with proclamations of such overwhelming adoration for a bunch of scoundrels like politicians ON BOTH SIDES. Just go vote for your fave. Why do we need this embarrassing show?

Whew. Now I feel better!
The preceding was MY OPINION, YMMV.

BEST post of the day!

Don’t kid yourself, it happens here too.
