I agree. The vulgarity is atrocious and unnecessary. I see one cart in particular over and over again. That person is also very confrontational. Not a good representative of The Villages.

Signs on cars these days only open yourself up to ridicule or worse vandalism’s I believe these stickers are all about look at me instead of whose on the sticker . I feel like that about the little white crosses gee look at me I’m a better Christian then you. My mother went to catholic mass her whole life, she didn’t preach to people , didn’t have to have a sign in the yard , and respected all people whatever race , gender or religion lots of people here could have learned a lot from my mom. If you ever see old film of Martin Luther King marches , my mother is a pretty middle aged dark haired white woman sometimes in first or second line in marches . I guess now she would be branded a radical Marxist by many villagers

Default Golf Cart Signs

We have seen the type signs the OP is speaking of. I don’t allow it to bother me. The reason I retired here is to enjoy myself. We follow the deed restrictions, our former neighborhood covenants were much stricter. I fly beneath the radar, political, religious, & deed restrictions to name a few. If something offends me I ignore it. Why make yourself miserable over others views!

I doubt if a vulgar sign would convince me to vote for a particular candidate.
Like I said, display your signage where you wish. Stay out of my business and I will stay out of yours. If you choose to cover your windshield and you have an accident, have fun explaining your way out of it......even if you were in the right.
GOD bless America and the Freedom the Constitution allows us.
Yes, display all the political signs that you may want to but I'm going to have to draw the line at obscenities. At some point that stops being free speech and more about disturbing the peace, if not downright harassment. If you can't communicate your point without using profanities then you don't have much of a point to begin with. You are simply trying to tick people off to get reactions. Might as well hold up a sign saying that you are a mentally deranged jerk because that is exactly how you come across - hostile and extremely rude.

With regard to putting large signs on your windshield. It obstructs your view and is agains the law. According to the Motor Vehicle "No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster or other non transparent material upon the front wndshield, side wings, or side or rear Windows of such vehicle which material obstructs or impairs the drivers view of the highway or any intersecting highway" . remember you are considered a motor vehicle.

It’s also interesting to note that there are no American flags displayed as well as no positive message.

Yes we live in a senior community but there are still some sophomores among us.

It is all a complete waste of time. If you have not decided who ou are going to vote for by now, then you probably should not be oting at all.

But, that said, I do believe this interminable pandemic shut down is gradually driving people who are not wound too tightly to begin with, into early dementia or senility.

Why not get a tattoo and put it on your back and drive without a shirt so you can proclaim unending devotion? Why should ANY politician be worth proselytizing for? Proselytizing religion is bad enough but these are POLITICIANS of which 90% are in it for just the power and money. Can you "love" someone so much you need huge signs to prove it? If so why doesn't anyone put signs with their wife or grandkids on the big obnoxious signs? I guess you love politicians more than family? What have politicians ever done for you that they deserve such adulation? This is SICK. Outsiders laugh at what goes on around here. The parades, the political flags, the signs. It's embarrassing for both sides. I dare to say there is nowhere else that is so obnoxiously involved with proclamations of such overwhelming adoration for a bunch of scoundrels like politicians ON BOTH SIDES. Just go vote for your fave. Why do we need this embarrassing show?

Whew. Now I feel better!
The preceding was MY OPINION, YMMV.

Have you had better luck?
So, that don’t mean there wasn’t or weren’t, windshields shouldn’t be billboards for anything. There enough blind spots without creating more from stupid sign what ever it says.

When I see a sign that says “So and So 2020” or The Other So and So 2020”, what it tells me is that they believe their So and So is better suited to run the country and the other one is not. It’s sort of like a peaceful protest that’s kind of like saying “that person is bad we need our person in office”. We may not agree with that peaceful protest but we accept that it’s their right. Now, the lowlifes that use obscenities and vandalize other peoples’ property are what I view as wannabee anarchists. They’ll do whatever they can to push your buttons short of actual violence probably because they don’t have the, you know what to do so. Of course they would probably welcome a violent response from you. I’m sure they have their civil attorney on speed-dial. So, don’t let them push your buttons or play their game. If you really want to take them on do so in November. If your candidate wins you will have put it to them.
