The signs are an eyesore. No idea why people feel the need to broadcast their politics.

I suppose you really don't like the ones who fly the political flags all year? Are you sure you moved into the right community?

They are all over in Fenney! But only DeSantis & Rubio signs, no DEM signs!

TV allows political signs in the windows of homes facing the street. Guy across the street has a large "Trump 2024" sign in his lanai window. We see flags flying that are political in nature--perfectly OK as I understand it. Bumper stickers abound; it is nothing to see a car parked in a driveway with political signage on the back. All that and more IS allowed, and seems to be increasing as the election approaches.

Maybe instead of being peeved at the signs we should be thankful that, in five days, there will be no more need for them.
Yea, just like all the signs and flags disappeared after the last election

Really? Have you asked them? Are they in the same party?

I agree with the above and would add that we should be glad we live in a free country where we can express our views.

This thread is borderline political.

Just because we agree to disagree about politics, the world, whatever, I still enjoy that awesome cup of coffee with you as my friend.

I contacted The Villages and they told me they have been inundated with complaints lately and they just can't keep up. Perhaps, the offenders realize this, and just play the waiting game that the election will be over before they catch up with me.

It just sends a bad message to the Community and causes further division. Most of us are not swayed by political signs, so why break the rules and stir the pot?
The beginning section of Heath Springs Dr. is inundated with the signs. When Community Standards serves them with a violation they put their golf cart in their driveway and display the same signs on the back of the cart. Pathetic!

I don’t like the signs , but if they were just up for a couple of weeks I could live with that . The problem I have with the flags is that many stay up permanently, in the divisive society that we live in that flag becomes bad for property values.I don’t want to have my home for sale bypassed by even one person because my neighbor is flying some political flag.I actually knew one person that during the sale period people mentioned to realtor about the political flag next door, I’m sure other reasons played into not buying the house but I don’t think the sellers were the only ones where this occurred..I wouldn’t even look at a home for sale with a political flag from either party waving a year after an election

It is amazing what people complain about here in the villages. And political signs have always been put up in yards or in windows before elections. And they should all come back down after the elections. Thank God it will be over in less than a week. And thank God that’s all you have to complain about this week
