I stand corrected. I guess the polo fields are operated by the developer. I am still very sorry they have raised the price so much. I really don't know why. The admission revenue really has to be a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of running a polo club. It is known as The Sport of Kings because it is so expensive to participate.

I did not find the game boring. I know some of the rules and do enjoy the play. But it is more than I am willing to pay. That's just my opinion.

We used to go all the time when it was $3.00 pp. Went a little less when it went up last year and haven't gone at all this year. Mainly because of the price increase but also because I think the novelty has worn off. Loved the stompin' of the divots, free champagne and free beer. Fortunately, there are enough other things for us common folk to do around the Villages. Guess it could become that only the "who's who" of T.V. will attend. Can't complain too much, it's capitalism at it's best... supply and demand.

I'm afraid that we are among those who haven't gone this season because of the steep hike in admission price. To be fair, I would pay the Friday price of $5 but I'll be skipping the Sunday games and unfortunately the fun of tailgating.

Default Fun at polo games

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the polo matches.

I've had a friend give me the "snob" sign when I said I enjoyed the polo games.

I think it's so cool that we have polo matches here in The Villages and trust me, where can you go in THE WORLD to see a polo match for such a reasonable fee????

It's fun.....and even though I'm not a beer drinker, "4 in the 4th" is worth rooting for. Half time isn't too shabby either!!!

Well, on Friday you can sit anywhere for the $5 admission price. That means upstairs and tailgating, too. No extra charges.
This Friday and Sunday are International Week. There is a team coming from England and a team coming from Barbados. They will play against The Villages USA polo teams. So, if you decide to go to polo, this is a good week to go. IMO.
Also, as the weeks go on, the higher rated teams play so the games are a little more exciting.
