You're right John! When you get a bill from the Villages you don't tell the Villages if you want your money, come & get it. Besides how fair is it to me to pay for someone that might be in the pool that's from Wildwood or Leesburg. It's like our govt. it's illegal for a foreigner to be here but it's not for an illegal to swim at my expense.

You might think my comment is dumb & not the same but if it's a positive or an asset for the bill collector (The Villages) it's OK, but if the ones in the pool are swimming at or expense it's OK for us to pay for them. It's always in The Villages favor!

What if every time you were in the pool and had to get out and show your id? It could start getting inconvenient.

I'm very interested in this...what is it that snowbirds don't pay for?

As for getting out of the neighborhood pool to have your pass scanned it's not like they come to the pool every hour to check on people. I've been their on some days and have never seen anyone check. As for the Family Pool IF that's such a BIG problem which I doubt go to a Wednesday meeting and voice your concerns. Maybe they could change the procedure and have everyone check in with the desk and be buzzed in. I've not seen this as a problem however.
As for the snow birds, I to would like to know what your referring to that they're not paying. The increases are across the board. We go up and so do they. If your referring to a renter then the owner pays the increase. ???

Oh what a horrible thing! A person is using the pool and may not be living here. I say get your gun and shoot everyone in the pool. That way you are sure you will get the person who does not belong.
enjoy the pool the water is clean, never too many people. lots of seating.

I would estimate that 50% of the time I've been to the Tamarind Grove neighborhood pool no one has come by to check. The attendant for our pool is the front desk person from Sterling Hgts Rec Center. The other times that they did come and check, I was never checked more than once in a 2 or 3 hour stay. In a busy month I might go to the pool 4 or 5 times. Hard to be inconvenienced when you have to show your ID 2 or 3 times a month.

A little bit of overkill.
You can't play "free" executive golf without showing ID
You can't use the inside Rec Center facilities without showing ID. Why should people use the pools without showing ID. It is not a financial argument, it probably costs less than a penny out of everyone's amenity fee to support non-resident swimmers, although we have no idea how many there are if they aren't caught. It is pride of ownership. When everyone pays to own a home here, pays the monthly fee, is part of a neighborhood, there is a true sense of community. You are much more likely to take care of your property and watch out for your neighbors. You are more likely to follow the rules and behave civilly. The same is not true of interlopers. The very fact that they showed up shows resistance to following the rules. Note the threads about littering, or speeding, or dirty restrooms at the pools. The majority of complaints are directed at the workmen driving the pick up trucks. I don't think the Villagers who also run a business here are doing the same thing.
As far as clean water, lots of seats and few people goes---it won't stay that way unless the rules are enforced----"If you build it, they will come"

Default poolmomitor

When we go we leave our Village ID on our chair I think that should be the rule I have been there when the monitor has showed up and people claim to have left it at home and they say OK don't forget it the next time BS I am not paying for outsiders to swim on our pools sorry if that sounds bad but we are having a lot of new places built NOT in the villages but very close by and there is a capacity limit at the
pools

Stupid system and rules. How about having to use an entry pass when entering so only priority members get in. 90 year old monitors aren't gonna debt it done.
