No lap swimmers in neighborhood pools !! Go to the sports pools. There’s a lady at shady Brook pool that regularly does 100 laps. Not fair for everyone else trying to relax and gotta stay outta her way and listen to the splashing for an hour …….

The rules from the Recreation Dept. were linked a few posts back; please point to the one that says no swimming in the neighborhood pools.

The lady at Shady Brook needs to get along with the others in the pool as well. While it would be ignorant for those standing or walking to intentionally get in her way, it is just as ignorant for her to believe there is an invisible lane that others must stay out of.

We should focus on enjoying ourselves rather than looking for ways to be offended by what others are doing in the corner of the pool they are using.

Show her the regs and politely let her know she is infringing on the rights of others trying to enjoy the pool.

I live in the South. There ARE days when all of the Sports pools nearby (Ezell, Everglades, Spanish Moss, Rohan) have water volleyball or other activity scheduled for most of the afternoon. When the pool finally opens for lap swimming at 3 or 4 or 5pm, the lanes fill up immediately and you have to wait even longer to get a lane. Why do the volleyballers get the prime time of the day, noon to 3pm? The schedulers should balance the schedule so there's always at least 1 nearby Sports pool open for lap swimming at any given time of the day, but that has not happened.
