Default Use ID cards

Sorry, but I believe we should have to use our ID card to enter all facilities....the pool, the Rec centers, the pickleball courts. We pay for those facilities. They are not open to the public, yet any of the public can access them. Anyone can go into a Rec center and use the bathrooms. These are not public facilities. If we had to use our ID cards this would eliminate our facilities being used by those who haven't paid for them. We all came from places that did not have pools, Rec centers and the abundance of facilities that The Villages has. And, we all had contractors working in our towns and cities. They found places to potty....usually gas stations or quick marts. Why should it be different here?

This question came up when we were attending the Villages Academy. The answer was that the pool bathrooms were "public" and therefore available for everyone. (I should have asked "if that's true, are they maintained by tax money or Villager fees? But I didn't.)

The rush by some to attack the victim as less than smart is to be expected here. The only thing he Is guilty of is thinking TV is a safe place. As TV grows in size and population, so will the number of low life's It attracts looking to take advantage of it's residents and facilities.

True, the two thieves should be sent to a hard time jail for a long stretch.

However, you just have to think that ANYONE in The Villages would know - from their past life experiences - that you NEVER leave your wallet with money and credit cards out of your sight.

The collier neighborhood pool restrooms are used very heavily by contractors. Unfortunately the bathrooms are out of service more than they should be because of the messes left behind. I don't know what the answer is but it's discouraging that the bathrooms are left with toilets overflowing etc. . Contractors working outside of the villages find places to go to the bathroom.

I've never seen a problem at our pool, but my husband says the contractors leave the men's restroom a filthy mess consistently.

Just curious. Does hubby go in before and after the contractors to see if they are the ones making a mess ?

I was thinking that too. Some of these opinions are pretty funny to read. How many villagers were contractors or worked for contractors at one time or another? Not to mention the rest of their family, friends and neighbors that were just insulted.

I don't see this as an issue! Where would you have the workers "go"?? I'm thankful for the grounds-keepers and others who make this a beautiful place to live in. My thoughts go to "let's try to pay things forward and not be negative, be kind and not impatient and think we're above others"!!
