We have a six inch high paver wall and planter circle in our front "yard" in our courtyard villa, and I found a nearly identical pile of this stuff on the wall a couple weeks ago. No way it's a bear, but I think it was probably a large squirrel or other berry eater. I was surprised by the size of the pile.

We have been the recipient. Of the same type of scat in our yard and last Sat night on the middle of our driveway. This has been going on for several months. We have sent pictures to Florida Wildlife but they did not know. The scat seems way too large for a raccoon. We had raccoons up North but never saw scat like this.

OP is asking a question, to identify what wildlife, is in their back yard.
If this was BEAR scat one would want to know that fact. When our cameras picked up a Bear multiple times in our Pennacamp neighborhood, we wanted to alert everyone near. Within a few days it was trapped and removed. If one doesn’t know what creates that scat, one needs to ask the question. A raccoon not a big deal, a bear especially new mom with cubs, can be a problem

Bobcat and coyote scat will often have tufts of hair/fur visible in the scat since they are carnivorous. |

Be careful if it’s raccoon scat because it can carry roundworms, which are very dangerous to humans as they will invade your brain.
