Personally, I just don't want to mess around and waist my time with these guys. I just hang up. I've found that if you don't answer they will keep on calling. I blocked the number and they call back using another number. Just hang up.

Just got the call from the India Indian who opened my new accounts at the new bank we just changed to. They have branches in TV so I'm just trying to be prepared. I finally got the name out of this piece of garbage and he assured me he was the same person who sat at the second desk to the left when entering the door. That's great but it was a women that I opened the accounts with. Followed up by an official looking Email from the imposter. Wish I could reach thru the phone and give them some justice. Just be careful they are ruthless low life bottom feeders.

The only way to get some satisfaction of payback is to tell them to hang on till you get the person they ask for. You are then wasting their time as they are wasting yours. Of course they eventually hang up. I had one that said he was from Microsoft and hung on for quite a long while. When I went back to the phone he was still on and I told him I just wanted to waste his time too.....He called me a s.o.b. It felt good knowing I annoyed him.

I've gotten that call about 5 times over the past year, I always say "windows, I just cleaned our windows, I don't need any window cleaner" and hang up before they can say anything.

About four years ago I called Century Link and said I need 'call block' and for what I'm paying, I don't want to be charged anymore. They gave me call block for free the next day. When you get a number you don't want, dial *60 and when it answers, you dial #01# and the last number is blocked forever. Unfortunately you can only store 12 phone numbers at a time. I have since gone through that dozen 3 or 4 times. Everytime I want to add a new number, I've have to remove one. I keep a list in the drawer and whatever one is the oldest I'll remove it and add the new number.

Caller says he's from "Microsoft"... answer, "That's strange you should recognize Microsoft problems on my computer. I run a Mac!" That should do it.
