I started a new topic on potholes in and around the Villages. Hope people will contribute. I had noticed some bad ones on the detour (which starts again tomorrow October 9, 2007-November 19, 2007) going to the Doggie Doo Run Run and a Jewish Temple just a little north of that dog park.

These pot holes on CR 103 were fixed!

In a previous post I wrote about the deteriorating condition of Morse Blvd from the Morse Circle to CR 466. I have noticed in the past few days that many of the potholes on Morse have been patched. Hope they last. I hit one today after turning from Morse onto Rio Grande and it was enough to loosen a few tooth fillings.

There are a few beauties remaining on Morse Blvd as you leave the north gate and enter the circle. Reminds me of NY City Roads during the David Dinkens Administration. That was BG (before Guiliani)

I noticed a pot hole on Paige Place going towards (to the NW) Morse Blvd.

Looks like they fixed the pot holes I had described going to the Doggie Doo Run Run and the Jewish Temple on CR 103 on the detour which is supposedly active from October 9, 2007 through November 19, 2007.

On the detour to Doggie Doo Run Run and the Jewish Temple on CR 103 you do also have to watch out for tree trunks which have pushed up sections of the road. Have heard of various people getting flats as well as having damage to their tire rims while going to the Doggie Doo Run Run on this detour.

There are a few on San Marino Drive near DeLa Vista Golf Course These will probably get much bigger before they get patched. Seeing more Neighborhood Watch trucks frequenting the area, I wonder if they report pot holes. Probably not in their job description as they are more concerned with deed noncompliance.

The detour that goes to the dog run are not part of the villages road system but are part of the sumter county system.

True CR 103 is outside of the Villages but is very near it AND is travelled by many Villagers going and coming from the Jewish Temple as well as Doggie Doo Run Run. Many of the people at the Doggie Doo Run Run are Villagers.
