That sounds soooooo cool! Do you watch to see if it is done or is there a rule of thumb for time? Do you spray the grates with Pam type spray? I have to try this....... Gas grill OK?

Seems like the heat would have to be turned way down or you would risk burning the bottom before the top was cooked, doesn't it?

If you are using fresh dough, spread it out on a pan or a stone and pre-bake it for about 10-15 minutes in the oven. You can do this anytime prior to making your pizza.

If you don't have time for fresh dough, use Boboli (sp?)...no need to pre-bake.

I preheat our gas grill on high and then turn it down to low. I place it right on the grates...no need to spray. It takes anywhere from 7-10 minutes.

You know your pizza is done when you smell it just beginning to burn.
