You can drive fewer than 5 miles away from any major city, and run into a farm stand. And a secondary city or town green will be within 5 miles of that farm stand on the other side of the route.

Lived for a few years in West Suffield, CT. It is truly a farming town, specializing in tree and sod farms. Their premium bumper crop is tobacco. The leaves of their tobacco plants are used throughout the world to roll the finest cigars, including Cubans.

I always thought there were 2 farmers market and they just stopped the one in Spanish Springs. The one in Brownwood has been around for awhile. Never too far to look at old cars.
